Dreaming Up a Story


Most of the time I get my inspiration from movies, television, or other books. There is this other part where a good portion of my ideas come to me, while I’m going to sleep or when I’m lying in bed about to get up. Recently, I just came up with a new idea for a novel. This idea came from a dream I had. I tend to have very strange dreams from giant snakes chasing me to being at Hogwarts. XD

Creating a Superhero

Hi friends,


I’ve been thinking a lot about superheroes lately. Mostly with the explosion of superhero movies, which makes me spectacularly happy. I’ve been into superheroes, since I was a little girl. I have memories of watching X-Men and Spiderman cartoons every morning, when a little girl. It evolved into watching Batman Beyond, X-Men: Evolution, Teen Titans, and Justice League later. Then that sort of evolved into going to the movie theater to watch the earlier Batman movies, X-Men, Blade, and Spiderman as the supehero movie genre really took off. As a fan of the genre, I recently began looking at graphic novel and comics. I’m very slowly immersing myself in the genre, but I’m starting to look into superhero fiction. But, I feel like there’s not a lot of it in the novel form.

Camp NaNoWriMo: Update 2

Hello everyone,

I know this update is a bit late in the game, but I just finished my second short story not too long ago. If you recall, the plan was to write a total of five short stories for Camp Nano. The second short story just did not want to end. I’ll have to go back and cut some out because I know there are some unnecessary parts in it. I made it up to 10,000 words for this story, and my overall goal is 25,000 for NaNoWriMo. I’m up to 20,000 words now, after starting the third short story that focuses on another sister.
