I’m Still Here and Trying to Write

Hi friends,

bear-wave-o

I just wanted to give a quick update that I’m still around. I have plans to work on my superhero novel in September and finish Signs of the Hunted in October. If I don’t make those goals, I’ll be doing it it for NaNo. I would rather not start another project, while I have two unfinished for right now. However, I’ve always used NaNo to start a brand new¬†project, so we shall see. I hope to do another blog post about a movie I found very inspiring this past summer. It truly inspired me, so I’ll try to do that soon.

Good luck to you and your projects.

Books, Books, and More Books

Hello fellow writers,

I paid a recent trip to the bookstore and was able to get a ton of books. Here they are.

I’ve read A Monster Calls already, but I really wanted my own copy of it. I got the one without the illustrations, even though I love them. I got another drawing book that will help me improve my skills. I picked up Night Film because of the good things I heard about it. I’ve been reading N.K. Jemisin’s blog, and I knew that I wanted to read some of her books. Snow Like Ashes has literally been everywhere, so I decided to give it a try. I love anthologies, so I picked up Slasher Girls and Monster Boys. That’s it for now. I will be doing another post about NaNo 2015. I’ve already decided what I’ll be working on. Can’t wait to share it with you.

Good luck to you and your projects.

Balancing Writing and Life

Hello fellow writers,

challenge-accepted

I’ve been dealing with a lot of things these past couple of weeks. I just started a new job, and it’s leaving me a little stressed. I’m trying to find another job at the moment. I also started classes in getting my Master’s degree in English. It’s been very hard to find time to write and edit my works. I know plenty of people are dealing with the same thing. You have work and family, and sometimes it gets hard to¬†find the time.
